Ratmalana Deaf School receives furniture

A donation of Tables and Chairs

A donation of Tables and Chairs to the Deaf School, in Ratmalana, was made by Rhythm World on 4th October, 2017

PROCEEDS FROM THE 2013 DINNER DANCE

As it has been the practice in previous years a contribution from the proceeds from the Dinner Dance was made towards Ashirwada Pahan , a talented boy from the University of Colombo, studying IT in a Critical condition between life and death who is currently supported by a breathing machine and requires to undergo brain surgery immediately.

He is being treated at The Central Hospital (Norris Canal Road) under the direct supervision of Dr. Sunil Perera.

7 th RHYTHM NITE DINNER DANCE 2010.

As in previous years, Shiromi Perera together with the Committee of Management decided to contribute part of the proceeds of the Rhythm Nite 2010 towards a useful cause. This year it was decided that part of the proceeds would contributed towards the ‘Bubble Baby' fund.

DONATION TO THE CANCER HOSPITAL , MAHARAGAMA

Donation to the Cancer Hospital

Shiromi Perera Dayaparan together with some of the Committee members visited the Cancer Hospital Maharagama on the 1 st of February, 2005 and handed over the proceeds of the Dinner Dance by way of an assortment of essential drugs as per the request of the hospital.

The medication was handed over to Mrs. N. Paranagama - Deputy Director, Cancer Hospital Maharagama.  

RHYTHM WORLD ‘TSUNAMI' PROJECT

Donation to the Tsunami victims

With the encouragement and enthusiasm shown by several “Rhythm World” members, friends and well-wishers, it was proposed to alleviate the trauma of the Tsunami in our own little way. With the goodwill and co-operation of our members, friends and well wisher, this worthy, humanitarian project was no doubt a success. On the 28 th of March, 2005 , Rhythm World was able to provide the essential needs for some of the victims of the tsunami, by way of their day to day livelihood.

The items distributed were ; Bicycles, Sewing machines, Carpentry tools, Compressor, Spray Guns, Sander, an Arc Welding plan and 12 Nos. plastic tables for children for the purpose of studying

SPONSORSHIP OF A CHILD

Rhythm World has undertaken to sponsor the Education of a Child who has lost his father in action [Air Force] due to the war that was prevalent in the country.

Rhythm World will make a monthly contribution, as stipulated by the ‘Seva Vanitha Association', towards the expenses arising with regard to this child's education; currently a Year 6 student ; and will continue to do so until he completes his higher education.
