A dance workshop in Argentine Tango was conducted at Rhythm World, by Luigi & Bibiana from Italy, on the 24th of March, 2019.

DANCE WORKSHOP - SLIDA

A full day dance workshop was conducted at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration for the selected Graduates in training.

Life & Social skills are introduced to these Graduates in their training programmeas life skills development. Dancing is one such aspect of this programme.

WORKSHOP BY ALEENA TAN

A “Rock N Roll” workshop was conducted by Ms. Aleena Tan, from Singapore on the 22nd of March, 2015 for the students of Rhythm World. This workshop was attended by over 50 students. The students had great fun learning the Rock N Roll and enjoyed the 2 hour workshop.

WORKSHOP BY UAPAN SNIDVONGS

A Group workshop was conducted by Uapan Snidvongs from Thailand for students of Rhythm World. This workshop was also attended by students of Antonio's Dance Circle & X'Arena. Uapan is the appointed Latin American Dance trainer for the Asian Region and the students gained much through the 02 hour workshop conducted. The Assisting couple trained by Uapan Snidvongs; Koupey Sahaifa & Satatip Bunwilai are Ranked No. 01 in the Asian Region.


A second session of Workshops & training in Latin American & Ballroom by Mr. Dirk Bastert was organized by Rhythm World and was conducted on the 7 th of May, 2011 .

WORKSHOPS & TRAINING

Rhythm World organized workshops & training sessions on the 23 rd of January, 2011 conducted by Mr. Dirk Bastert of Germany who has many years of experience & exposure in the Dance World as a Championship dancer / trainer.

These workshops were attended by keen & enthusiastic dancers from Rhythm World in order that they may improve their dance techniques and styles.

Mr. Dirk Bastert will be invited to Sri Lanka on a regular basis in order that he may continue to work with the students of Rhythm World.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE COUNCIL - CID UNESCO

Shiromi Perera has been accepted and confirmed as a Member of the International Dance Council - CID UNESCO.

This is the official umbrella organization for all forms of dance in all countries of the world and the CID represents the art of dance in general and is recognized by UNESCO, national and local governments, international organizations and institutions.

WORLD DANCE COUNCIL ASIAN AMATEUR LEAGUE.

Shiromi Perera professionally qualified her self to be recognized and accepted to the World Dance Council Asian Amateur League. This is the first time that Sri Lanka has been recognized by the World Dance Council.

The WDC is the world authority for professional Dance and Dance Sport incorporating the World Dance Sport Committee and the World Social Dance Committee.

The WDC is committed to their goal of encouraging and promoting dance through its broad world membership. Furthermore, the WDC is also committed to promoting dance by taking a more commercialized approach to running the World Championship Title events. Involving sponsors in these events and attracting multi-media to share this exciting and fast growing sport, (as evidenced by movie and television hit sensations), will serve to benefit and encourage participating professional dancers and involve others.

Shiromi Perera is now a Member/International Director of the World Dance Council Asian Amateur League.

A former student trained by Shiromi Perera at Rhythm World and who also won the International Competition held in Sri Lanka in 2006, has taken Rhythm World to even greater heights by participating at a Dance Competition at State level in the USA and won 2 nd & 3 rd places in most events.

She left for the USA towards the latter of part of 2008.

ESTEEMED EXAMINER FOR RHYTHM WORLD DANCE STUDIO

At the Beginning of the year 2009 the Rhythm World Dance studio was taken to a greater height with the appointment of Ms. Aleena Tan as the Official Examiner of Rhythm World ; for all Medal Examinations to be held at Rhythm World and to Adjudicate at the Annual Rhythm World Danceport Competition.

This decision was taken by Ms. Shiromi Perera, Directress of the Dance studio in order to give the student a better exposure and an insight into dancing.

Ms. Aleena Tan has been involved in the field of dancing for almost 40 years. As a renowned Examiner and Adjudicator she is therefore keen to promote Latin American & Ballroom dancing.
